Purpose, Passion, Performance: The SE Mindset

Every Sales Expert brings something unique to the field. Behind the uniform and every successful customer interaction lies a deeper story: a sense of purpose, a spark of passion, and the drive for performance.

This week, we’re celebrating our SEs by sharing the motivations and mindsets that keep them going. From personal goals to lessons learned in the field, these stories remind us that success starts with what inspires us from within.

Our SE Stories

Each SE has their own perspective on what fuels their work. Some are driven by purpose, others by passion, and many by the pursuit of performance and results. Together, their stories highlight the dedication, resilience, and pride that define the SE mindset.

I'm motivated by being the best at what I do. To be the best, you not only have to listen to the customer in front of you, but you must be able to hear the customer's pain points. When you're able to identify these pain points, you will be able to provide the customer with the proper solution that addresses their needs.

Stating motivated can be very challenging when you are having little to no success on any given day. Understanding that there are ups and downs to this and that things will eventually turn around is vitally important to overcoming these down periods.

For me, what really drives me as an SE is the chance to create meaningful connections in a supportive work environment. It's inspiring to be in a culture where our efforts are genuinely recognized and valued. The back-and-forth with customers, hearing their stories, and having them listen to mine, makes every day unique.

What inspires me to wear the uniform?

Putting on the uniform each day is more than just a dress code; for me, it's a way to mentally prepare and feel professional. It's a reminder that I'm part of a team dedicated to providing quality service.

One of my proudest moments was helping a woman find the perfect product for her father, who was initially hesitant. Seeing him change his mind and ultimately be happy with the purchase was incredibly rewarding. Those are the moments that fuel my motivation and remind me why I love what I do.

Born and raised in Romania, I’ve always carried a drive for growth, adventure, and the chance to create a path that’s uniquely mine. Life at home wasn’t always easy, but I’ve been grateful for the strength, resilience, and determination that shaped me early on.

After graduating high school in 2010, I moved to Ontario to experience more of the world. With English as my second language, I made it a personal goal to master it — a challenge that opened doors to countless opportunities. From farming to restaurants to sales, every role taught me something new and helped build the adaptability and character I value today.

In late 2024, I took a leap into a Brand Ambassador program, not just as a job, but as a way to challenge myself further. It became a space where I could refine my communication skills, strengthen my sales abilities, and learn how to connect with people on a deeper level. Along the way, I’ve been fortunate to have mentors who encouraged me to push my limits and supported my growth.

For me, success isn’t just about money — it’s about the lessons learned, the people met, and the progress made. I live by the belief that if something is worth doing, it should be done wholeheartedly and with purpose, leaving an impact that lasts.

As a sales expert, my job is to promote a positive change. This is done by establishing trust, building rapport, and providing accurate product information.

I am always excited to guide a new prospect on starting their journey. Being motivational and supportive is key but most importantly being patient and sympathetic.

Real change takes time, let your customers know you'll always be there to support and guide them on their journey.

Your positive attitude is your greatest asset! It's what draws people to you and keeps them wanting to come back to speak with you. Sometimes it takes two, three, or even four conversations to get a customer interested — keep showing them your passion, and you'll win them over eventually.

As a Sales Executive, my greatest source of motivation is to directly contribute to our mission. My role is more than just making sales: it's about guiding customers toward alternative solutions that work for them.

This is a source of daily pride and motivation. Knowing that my work helps customers make informed choices gives me the energy I need to go the extra mile and provide quality service with every interaction.

I get motivated to the field each day not because I have to, I do it because I get to meet people every day. It's the small conversations that really make someone’s day better. Giving them a listening ear doesn’t make you the judge of their character. Rather, you show them kindness.

Being in my complete uniform signifies preparedness and commitment to helping people find common solutions in their daily lives.

The SE Mindset

When purpose, passion, and performance come together, the result is more than just success — it’s a mindset. One that inspires growth, teamwork, and resilience.

As you head into the week, think about your own SE mindset:

  • What’s your purpose?

  • What passion drives you?

  • How will you perform at your best?

Let’s keep striving, keep inspiring, and keep achieving — because when we bring purpose, passion, and performance into the field, success always follows.
